Also, sportsnet.ca reported that Pavel Bure may retire. Sportsnet.ca has learned that Pavel Bure was appointed as Russia’s Soviet Minister of Foreign Affairs. The moves of tradinf Leetch’s and Messier’s rights may also persuade Bure to make the decision.

Furthermore, TSN.ca also made an error regarding Lindros. GM/Coach Glen Sather said that was incorrect. He also said that he expects Brian Leetch to be back in the Big Apple, and maybe Eric Lindros as well. Also, the GM mentioned that he is not looking to change the goaltending and will most likely not acquire Curtis Joseph from the Detroit Wings.

Updated: 3,00 pm:

Sprtsnet.ca has made an error that the Rangers have declined Eric Lindros’ player option, thus making him an unrestricted free agent. However, the sportsnet.ca has reported that the Rangers traded Mark Messier’s rights to the Sharks for future considerations.
