With the Off-Season just about almost over, I will be doing my Look on what my “Top 3” favourite and “Top 3” least favourite teams still need to patch up….

Will Havlat be at camp?

From the Ottawa Citizen:

When are the Bruins going to sign Felix Potvin??

When are the Boston Bruins going to sign veteran free agent goalie Felix Potvin? We all know it will happen. Why hasn’t it happened yet? What is Mike O’Connnell waiting for?

Calder Speculation in Light of the Ruutu Signing

Tuomo Ruutu, Chicago’s latest prospect signing, should bring a combination of hitting, goal scoring and raw talent that has been compared to that of a young Peter Forsberg. In 30 games with HIFK in Finland last season, Ruutu scored 12 goals and 17 assists. It is thought that Ruutu will be given every chance to make the Blackhawks’ roster this season, likely playing as the third line center behind Zhamnov and Arnason. This leads to some early consideration of Ruutu as a Calder Trophy candidate next season, so I thought I’d look at some other players who may also be in the running for top rookie of 2003-04.

Rangers Sign Two reported that the Rangers had agreed terms with former Rangers Jan Hlavac and Martin Rucisnky.

Rocks Report: Berezin set to replace Bure? is reporting that Sergei Berezin is set to begin negociations on a contract with the New York Rangers. Berezin’s role is set to become a replacement if Pavel Bure should be not able to continue this year.

Prospect T. Ruutu signs with Blackhawks

Sources report that GM Mike Smith announced today that the Chicago Blackhawks have signed highly touted prospect, Finnish center/left winger Tuomo Ruutu. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
