Sleepers Creepers #2

Finally, the top guy on my list has hit the scoreboard last night, and check out more:

Why do the Ducks suck?

As a Ducks fan, it’s been a very tough first couple of weeks. There was a lot of excitement around the new look Ducks this year but after a start that sees them 0-4-0-0 and only 2 goals, what are the Ducks doing wrong and where do they go from here?

Avalanche Doubters Beware!

Alot has been said about the Colorado Avalanche that needs to be stopped. Like their goaltending situation, Defense and 3rd/4th Lines

Boston Bruins Season Preview

Boston Bruins Season Preview

The Bruins are stacked with offense yet questions remain about whether their defense and goaltending can hold up. The Joe Thornton led offense should maintain their goal production from last year. If Berard returns, goal production could possibly even lead the league. The Bruins defense will be led by young Nick Boynton as he continues his rise to prominence. The goaltending duo of Potvin and Raycroft could prove to be a formidable shot-stopping duo or they could collapse and have the Bruins fighting for 8th spot.

The Next Russian Rocket, More Teams to Make the NHL? Possible Trades.

Find out who the next Russian Rocket will be, and more teams to make the post-season?

Comrie To Wings?

Spector’s Trade Rumors is reporting that the Oilers GM has had some talks to the Detroit Red Wings and the New York Rangers concerning Mike Comrie being traded.

I personally think that neither team will get Comrie – the Rangers don’t really need a center, and the Red Wings said they were looking for a center with SIZE, and I don’t think Mike Comrie fits THAT description. But hey, more awkward things have happened.

Fleury The Only Penguin To Silence Doubters

Well, it’s been a long time away, but with the Pens first game of the year in the books, and a performance worthy of nothing by praise by the rookie #29 Marc-Andre Fleury, I’ve gotta come out of hibernation. For those of you who only saw highlights of the game, unless you saw 46 seperate highlights for each save, you missed out big time. Actually you’d probably only need to see 30 highlights the way some of the shots came in “flurries” (that was bad). Most of the hockey world doubts the Penguins have a chance at doing anything this season, and many people disagree with the idea of signing fleury and exposing him to the NHL behind such a weak team. Fleury may have silenced those doubters for now, but the rest of the team sure gave credence to what has been said by many others.

Senators Sign Havlat

Forward Martin Havlat has been re-signed by the Ottawa Senators. Accoring to his agent, Allan Walsh, it is a one-year contract. Terms of the deal were not released.

Earlier this week it was reported that Havlat was leaving Canada and going to the Czech Republic. Obvioulsy this caused Ottawa to bite the bullet and sign the young star.

This is a good move by Ottawa. Havlat is a key to the future of the organization.

First Impressions (#1)

Well, a night full of hockey games is just what we all needed. It’s also the first night where many fantasy teams get most of their players playing.
