Coutesy of the New York Post:

The Devils waived D Dan McGillis yesterday, and if unclaimed his $2.2 million salary likely goes to Lowell. No cap help, though, since he’s not been on the list that is already over the season-opening limit . . . Lou Lamoriello said Patrik Elias, who has missed the last three exhibitions, has a “cold.”

Devils Madden Hurt!!

The Devils might get through this off season Cap issue without having to make any deals after all. John Madden who makes $3.9 million (although only $2.9 million of it is the cap hit due to a front loaded contract) is yet to play in a pre-season game, participate in team practice, and continues to skate on his own. It has been reported he had off season surgery due to a hernia and might miss considerable time according to the NY Post and Bergen Record.

Best and Worst NHL Jerseys

After seeing the Ducks and Sabres new jerseys, I decided to make a best and worst article. Here are my top and bottom 5. BTW, this is my first article.

Are The Canucks the most underrated team in the league?

Lot’s of people say the Canucks won’t make the playoffs, there way too denfensive, and it just keeps going on and on. But I think tthis team could easily be a contender for the cup.

Here is a preview of the Pacific Division teams in no particular order.

My Maple Leafs

Following two preseason games I have made my lines of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Peca looking exceptional

Two assists and a few big hits was all it took for me to love Mike Peca. Of course it is still not known whether the peca we got is the 8 goal peca who played for the oilers last season or the peca who scored 6 goals, got 34 hits and blocked 24 shots in 24 playoff games. I personally think we got the playoff peca because he is comeing off of a terrific post season and because he is playing in his hometown where he will presumeably play with a great deal of heart trying to get his favourite team to the playoffs.

Devils and Titans Together As One

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — The New Jersey Devils have bought a controlling interest in the minor league Trenton Titans, formerly the Philadelphia Flyers’ affiliate in the East Coast Hockey League.
