9/11, Never Forget

A day to never forget, even for the hockey world, as it lost two innocent lives. Let us pray for the victims of 9/11, and pray that our future won’t witness such horror, especially for our future generations. As always, I recommend to listen to two songs that give me the chills. Alan Jackson’s “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)”, and Daryl Worley’s “Have You Forgotten”. Yes, they are countrish, and I am not a big fan of country music, but every 9/11 I watch videos of the event, look at pictures, listen to these songs, and pray for the victims, the people that lost their loved ones, and for us, so that I will never forget that day.

God Bless the world, and the USA.

Picking sleepers for fantasy hockey is usually a fun job because if you are wrong about them, it’s not really a big deal. If you can pick 30% of the young or forgotten players who put up a big season, you are a fantasy genius. Sleeper goalies however; picking those is a pretty difficult task. Last year there really were only two true sleeper goalies who developed into a fantasy stars: Lundqvist and Huet. This season I am looking to find similar diamonds in the rough and hope at least one or two of these guys will have a huge year and give your fantasy team(s) a shot in the arm.

Sundin looking like Iginla

Everyone knows the troubles Calgary had last season putting the puck in the net. It seemed Iginla was he only big scorer the Flames had last season. The situation looks similiar for the Leafs.

Canucks ink Burrows to a one way deal!

Reports out of Vancouver are that Alex Burrows has signed a one way contract. They are still yet to sign Kesler and seem to be at a standstill. I dont have any figures yet.

There won’t be a hold out situation for Ryan Miller. He signed a three year deal, no money terms disclosed.
