Its a goaltenders league

We all know the tired saying, “your team will only go as far as your goaltender”. Well its true and I think just about all of us can agree on that. But which team has the best? Which team has the worst? I have taken the liberty of ranking all 30 teams based on goaltending from best to worst. In this article I look at teams #1-15 with article #16-30 to follow up later in the week. Backups do play into some ratings but obviously some teams like Vancouver and New Jersey need not worry of such things.

Rangers will be better!

I’ve seen so many things being posted in other articles, small tidbits here and there, about the Rangers and small arguments and points made. I mean to respond to most of them… but I feel it’s better to collaberate my opinions into one post to cover many topics.

Gainey Bashing

Ever since Gainey came to town, I have been reading the fans on the forum from RDS complain about him and everything from his inability to sign French players to his wardrobe. Well… that is to be expected, but I am quite shocked about the amount of Gainey bashing that is being done in this forum. People tend to think that hockey teams are built in 2 or 3 years, but that is not now, nor has it ever been the case. And you better believe that Bob Gainey knows it!

Joni Pitkanen agrees with the Oil.

According to TSN, Joni Pitkanen has agreed to a 1 year deal worth
$2.4 million. I was expecting a longer term for the contract, but signed pretty cheap and only received a $400,000 raise from last year.
