Rumors are swirling that a number of teams are trying very hard to pry a number of key defenseman out of the Phoenix Coyotes.

Major Hockey Talk

Hello hockey fans. I hope you are enjoying the season thus far even if it has been a bit whacky. A bunch of topics to talk about for the teams I have seen thus far.

Getcha' Popcorn Ready (maybe?)

It finally looks like the Edmonton Oilers are going to give Rob Schremp the chance to not only play a meaningful regular season game, but more importantly the chance to stick with the big club.

Sens to sign Robitaille

Randy that is.

The Sens are in negotiation with Randy Robitaille on a 1 year contract. Once Robitaille is released from his Russian Super League contract, the Sens will announce the signing.

Whats wrong with the Leafs

It seems the Leafs can do nothing right.

JFJ = HORRIBLE GM

I have a very VERY hard time accepting the fact that Toronto (possible the hockey mecca of the world) has honestly one of the WORST GMs in recent history. Lets look at some transactions he has done lately that have boggled a few heads…

Boulerice Got Off Too Easy

Thanks to expansion, the number of players in the NHL has increased significantly. The result of that has been talent spread far too thin across the league and several players making it to the show when it is clear, they simply do not belong.

The players I am referring to are players like Jesse Boulerice. Boulerice today was suspended 25 games for his stick infraction to the face of Ryan Kesler.

Thrashers on a long skid … are changes needed?

Many fans of the Atlanta Thrashers are beginning to take note of the early season slide of the Thrashers. Some feel that the slide actually started at the end of last season and continued through their short playoff run.

Jesse Boulerice Suspended!

The NHL has handed down it’s largest suspension in history; Jesse Boulerice was suspended for 25 games earlier today (Chris Simon also received a 25-game ban last year).

Reactions to this suspension? Too little, too much, or just right?

Unsourced Speculation in San Jose

Shelly Castellano ICON SMI

The San Jose Sharks are apparently in the midst of speculation in regard to the Canadiens Jaroslav Halak. It is suggested that the Sharks have interest in Halak as a possible backup and may be willing to make a deal.

Scatchard to the Rangers?

The Ny Daily News is reporting that Dave Scatchard may now be on the verge of signing a contract with the Rangers.

What needs to be done

This is how Leafs can contend for stanley cup.

First we got to see where is our strength, surprisingly its our defense , where we have so many young talented uprising defenseman ( COLAIACOVO, KRONWALL, WHITE, HARRISON, STRALMAN, and WOZNEWSKI,) so we have to trade KUBINA and MACCABE to free up $10,750,000 salary cap.

Quick! Hop on the bandwagon Habs Fans!

Well, Carey Price played in his first game. And just like Patrick Roy and Ken Dryden, he picked up his first win in his first start in the exact same arena. So a lot of Habs fans think that this must mean Price is the next Roy! But hold on a second…
