Bruins very likely to make a deadline move

The Boston Herald is reporting that Peter Chiarelli is very likely to swing a deadline move to try to improve the Bruins.

I was reading some articles on possible deadline deals and i came up with some realistic scenarios. Please comment and tell me what you think

Various sources around the internet, and now TSN.ca as well, have confirmed that Rangers head coach Tom Renney, and Rangers assistant coach Perry Pearn, have been fired.

During the broadcast of an nhl game on tsn, Pierre Mcguire stated that burke has made it known that another gm offered him a lottery pick in this years draft for defenceman Luke Schenn,

Burke turned down this trade and i am willing to bet that the gm was Brian Lawton of the lightning. The lightning are in desperate need of defence and i cannot see Burke turning down this deal from Atlanta or New York who are in position to pick Victor Hedman and John Tavaras.

The Latest on Lecavailer and St. Louis.

Larry Brooks of the New York Post is reporting (scroll down) that Tampa Bay is telling all teams that call to inquire about Vincent Lecavailer and Marty St. Louis are not on the trade market at the present time.

With a recent rash of injuries, the Calgary Flames may be looking to get active over the next 9 days leading up to the trade deadline. However, GM Darryl Sutter is not a big believer in acquiring rental players, and without a lot of cap room in coming seasons, the Flames may be put into a tough spot heading into D-day. The Flames were likely just looking to tinker before injuries to W Rene Bourque (high ankle sprain, indefinite), C Daymond Langkow (bruised hand, day-to-day) and D Mark Giordano (upper body, day-to-day). Although only Bourque is expected to miss significant time, the Flames may look at more than just depth moves at this point. F Matthew Lombardi’s name keeps coming up, as it seems he has yet to reach his full potential, but has a relatively cheap price tag and has been playing his best hockey of the season in recent weeks. The Flames may look at moving him to bolster their lineup. Buffalo, Montreal, Carolina, Atlanta, NY Islanders & Columbus are a few teams rumoured to be interested. Aside from him, the Flames aren’t likely to part with a lot of players currently on their roster (at least ones with much value). Prospects F Mikael Backlund, F Greg Nemisz, D Matt Pelech, D John Negrin & G Leland Irving could always be used as bait however.

The Denver Post is reporting that while Canadian news outlets are reporting on the possibility of the Avalanche possibly trading Ryan Smyth, they suggest that Smyth is very happy and does not want to leave the Avalanche.
