The Chicago Tribune is reporting that the Black Hawks are likely to be buyers at this years trade deadline. The Hawks have not reached the post season since 2002 and need to continue their strong play in order to ensure that they reach the playoffs this season.

ATLANTIC DIVISION

New Jersey Devils

Who’s Hot

Patrik Elias (LW, NJ) is quietly putting together an amazing season; and he is on pace to reach somewhere around 92 points. He’s been brutally hot as of late, notching 11 points over his last ten games (three of them on the power play), and going plus-4 at the same time. As hard to believe as it may be, he’s actually unowned in a small percentage of leagues, which means there are quite a few fantasy hockey players out there not paying attention.

With the Olympics now 1 year away, I thought it would be time to pick my 2010 Team Canada. The team will consist of 13 forwards 7 defensemen, and 3 goalies. I’ll also include a taxi squad of 4 forwards, and 4 defenseman. I don’t know why I chose that number…I just did.

According to the Vancouver Province, the Canucks are heading into the trade deadline as buyers and have plenty of money under the salary cap to spend on new players.
