Luongo uncertain about his future as a Canuck

The Vancouver Province is reporting that Luongo is unsure about this future in Vancouver. It is reported that “when asked whether being captain will influence his decision to sign an extension. I don’t think so. That’s not something that’s going to weigh on my decision,” Luongo said.”

Help with a project

Hey folks,

I am looking for a little help. I am looking for some people to write a bio for both John Tavaras and Victor Hedman.

As well I am looking for some one to put together a top 5 prospect list. In both cases I do not want copy and paste jobs from other sites.

If you could help please post the paragraphs of information and the top 5 draft list in this articles comments.

Thanks

where the big names will sign this off season?

This years nhl off season could be shaping up to be like no other, with multiple teams shaping up to be in rough cap space it could be an easier process for some of the smaller market clubs to win bidding wars on what some teams consider a covinent piece of there puzzle.

Hossa to take less to stay in Detroit?

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that Marian Hossa is willing to take less to stay with the Red Wings.

Bracket Time…March Madness, NHL style – Round of 32

“There is nothing bigger in March in the U.S. then the NCAA tournament, particularly the betting via brackets. There is nothing bigger in March (or any other month for that matter) in Canada then the NHL. This is what happens when worlds collide.

Dallas a few moves away from contention

Dallas Stars are currently 12th in the Western Conference, with 74 points in 72 games. Everybody tagged them as Cup contenders in september. So what happened?

1rst, Dallas has been plagued with injuries this year. Brendan Morrow and Sergei Zubov, their 2 best players, were out for the year after only 15 games. Brad Richards has played only 60 games this year. Same for Toby Petersen, a versatile and dependable center. Joel Lundqvist has played only 40. Same for Jere Lehtinen, a Selke winner. Steve Ott has played only 60 too. A lot of times this year, half of their roster was filled with minor league players. It doesn’t help.

Off-season excitement or dissapointment?

According to Rds.cs Pierre Boivin of the Montreal Canadiens says that the new coach absolutely has to speak french.

TIME FOR SWEEPING CHANGES

I can’t do it… I can’t take it anymore… It’s actually making me ill to watch the Habs play the past few months. Especially now, with only 11 games left, Montreal comes out flat against the Leafs at the Bell Centre on Saturday night?! To say the Canadiens are playing pathetic hockey would be a compliment these days…

50th goal celebration debate

I was kinda surprised to not have seen this on here already so I decided to bring it up myself. There has been alot of debate about Alexander Ovechkin’s 50th goal celebration from the other night. I just want to see what you guys think? You think it was good or bad?

Grabovski maturing after crash course…

Here is the story of Mikhail Grabovski. He’s an average player, gifted with tremendous talents, that has not been used in his hockey career at all. But how can a player with unhuman speed, gifted hands, and amazing vision not put up atleast 50 points in a season? Well, bad attitude, selfishness, and many other distractions has caused the poor Belorussian to have a setback in his career.

2008-09 NHL MVP

This regular season has been a pretty good one with many great individual players making their mark for MVP. This is where I ask my fellow hockey fans who they think should win MVP and I will give you some ideas to think about.

First, MVP is given to the player who is most valuable to their team. Not the best player in the league, not the leading scorer, but the player who is the most important the their team.

Hockey Survey

A few days ago, Eklund of Hockeybuzz had a nice idea (for the first time in a while lol…). He made a hockey survey with nice questions about hockey. here it goes :
