  1. LeafsFTW17 says:

    Brewer resigned 4 years 16m

  2. Boston_Bruins says:

I really want one of the following 2 players on the Bruins that are somehat realistic to still be around at 9.

    1. Hamilton – Had to throw him in here, although it's like a 1 in a million shot he's there when the B's are on the clock ("So you're telling me there's a chance?!?!")

    2. Murphy – Very well could be left on the board here. Bruins fans are nervous that Chia won't pick him because of his size, but he's shown a major fetish for smaller d-men prospects, albeit all from the NCAA. Claude on the other hand might have a big riff with him based on his offense first style.

Other than that, if we land Beaulieu or Oleksiak or Brodin or whatever, I'll be pleased but just a bit. If Couturier or Strom fell it would be intriguing as well.

  3. Jets_Back says:

A good hiring by Toronto in adding Rick Dudley to their Front Office.

  4. reinjosh says:

Great signing. Can't hurt to add another GM potential person to the management team. Apparently Detroit was going after him too. They seem to be a competition partner as of late. Olden and Pulkinen at the draft last year, Dudley now, and speculation that both teams want Stuart Percy.

Crazy front office now though. Burke, Nonis, Poulin, Loiselle and now Dudley.
  5. reinjosh says:

I think you and Philly will compete for Murphy. One of the Bruins or Flyers will pick him. If Philly picks him, Beaulieu is a good fit I think.

  6. 93killer93 says:

Leafs trade Boston's 2nd to Colorado for Liles

  7. mapleleafsfan says:

    I like it

  8. reinjosh says:

Not a fan. Didn't Burke balk at giving this exact price up at the deadline?

  9. mapleleafsfan says:

It's Bostons second we got with the conditional I'm pretty sure.. So the very end of the second round for Liles is a pretty good deal imo

  10. 93killer93 says:

Remember Colorado wanted our 2nd but burke wanted a late pick back too. This is boston's 2nd so it will be at the end of the round instead of the beginning.(39th)

  11. reinjosh says:

Which is essentially the same thing. 2012 is a much deeper draft than this year. It essentially evens out.

  12. mapleleafsfan says:

Oh is the 2nd pick next year?

Either way, I don't see it as a bad deal at all.. Liles is a pretty solid PMD to replace kaberle.. Our D looks pretty solid now
  13. JoelLeafs says:

Leafs Fans: Did you know that, providing Giggy isn't resigned, JML is now the oldest player in the system?

Also, I would love for the leafs to sign Konopka. Might not be necessary with the 4th we're sporting right now, but Brown (or whoever), Konopka, and Orr. That is not a line I would ever want to play against.
