The best part about all of it the Sabres just slapped the Leafs around 6-1 with half a lineup of Rochester Americans, and playing a man short because Briere had the flu and couldn't play. I wish I could hear the Toronto media tomorrow morning when they talk about being embarrassed by half an AHL team. I'll admit Miller held the Sabres in the game early on, but as soon as they got the 1st goal you could just see the Leafs fall apart.

we all know JFJ is a puppet.. even worse?.. hes a chimpanzee puppet. i was scared to death all day knowing that clown was behind the wheel. and to see him pull off some crap like this was exactly as to be expected. just reaaaks of desperation to attempt to save his job by showing the chumps at MLSE that he's seriously attempting to get this team into the playoffs, which is ludacris... but what i think they're after.

just showed us what intelligent leaf fans already knew, we will be a fringe team every year forced to be excited about attempting to make the playoffs, or an early exit. i guess we either get used to it or get a new team

could be an oiler fan?

I would not give up a promising young defender for a 36 year old veteran centerman (when your team has about 6 natural centers already).

But then, to give up a second round pick ?!?!?!?! WTF?

JFJ is unquestionably the stupidest GM in the NHL.

this reaks of a desperate move.. and one that can't save his job. i was convinced adding perrault meant he had another deal set in my place for an actual need of the team that wouldnt gut it. but nope!.. JFJ couldn't manage a little league farm team... but mlse loves it. they've got their hand so far up his ass his breath smells like hand. brutal.

uhhh no.. bad deal.

this reaks of desperation on JFJ's part to save his job. MLSE is pressuring him to make the playoffs.. JFJ is mission out on everything else. so he turns around and grabs up perreault. hey mlse.. he's an allstar?.. bottom line. he gave up a prospect.. and a second rounder for an aging centerman (of which we have enough of).. with a bad shoulder? how's he played since the break?.. you make leaf fans look bad. idiot.

now if he had turned around and actually used one of the extra centerman (ie. stajan) to address one of the teams actual needs after that.. (sundins winger?) than it wouldnt have seemed so bad.

how effin stupid are you that giving up a top pick and a prospect for a guy on the decline who's hurt is a good deal for the leafs?.. they're not getting better and younger.. and they still aren't making the playoffs?

John Ferguson Jr. has greatly disappointed me again. Looking at the other trades around the NHL, it looks like Ferguson missed out on a lot of potential great transactions which could have bolstered the Leafs lineup. Bertuzzi for example probably could have been had for Brendan Bell or Staffan Kronwall and 2 conditional round draft picks. That being said, here is the probable lineup for this week with Yanic Perreault inserted.
