absolutely hate damien cox. Everything he ever talks about is negative and he acts snobbish like a know it all. I really hate that i have to watch him when i watch the leafs on sportsnet oh and that dumb guy that was on cbc idesk with jeff marek too. Whoever's in chrarge at sportsnet should be fired for hiring this two dinks.

Damian Coxsucker is just throwing out numbers to get Leafs fans to read his articles. I've heard its going to be somewhere between what Liles and Connoly signed for. 3.875 to 4.75

I think a week ago I posted that Kulemin Grabo and mac, are back. And Looking at the past few games, they have really turned up the heat. Lupul and kessel have almost disappeared. Its Mac-Grab-Kul time!!!

I'm not so sure. They have a pretty talented front line and with Tarasenko and Schwartz (and to a lesser extend Rattie), they don't really need forwards. THey more just need a guy like Stewart or Berglund to snap out of their funks. They can wait on Tarasenko till next season. They have a bigger need for a shutdown guy or a LH dman.

Meh, IMO MacT's value is higher for the leafs than any other team. I'd be surprised if he went on his own. Secondary player in a package, maybe, but still unlikely.

What dumbass started this Grabo rumor? it's been going on for a while.

The leafs would be absolutely stupid to trade Grabo now when he is one of their best players and they are finally having their best season since the lockout and can finally make the playoffs. The only teams interested in Grabo are obviously playoff bound teams and all playoff bound teams want to offer at this point in the season are picks and prospects, which won't help them get into the playoffs.

The only way I see the leafs trading Grabo is to a playoff team that needs a little more speed and skill and can part with one of thier top 6 centres.

Nashville gets a little more speed and skill and the leafs get a little more size and toughness.

That is the only TYPE of swap that Burke will be looking for if he is trading grabo befor the deadline.

I would think they want some scoring, since they can't.

I believe they would want a guy like Clarke MacArthur IMO.

So apparently teams that had scouts at the game tonight were LA, COL, OTT, VAN, STL.

While I don't usually pay much attention to scouts at games, there was an interesting tidbit tat Dave Pagnotta of TheForthPeriod mentioned. St Louis is apparently a regular at the Leaf games as of late since St Louis doesn't play the Leafs again this season (and they don't play Pittsburgh either).

Usually scouting trips are to judge teams and figure out weaknesses, etc. But since they don't play them anymore and they are a mainstay, it sort of leads one to think that they may in fact be in talks with the Leafs.

Their biggest need is apparently a 1LHD or a shutdown guy. We don't really have a 1LHD to give them (unless they consider Gunnarsson a top line guy) but we do have Schenn. They also have an abundance of forwards, and specifically forwards with size.

I would imagine two forwards in particular.

Berglund and Stewart. Both are struggling, both are big. Possible deal happenign for one of them?

Yeah Grabovski may not have the "faceoff." percentage that everyone seems upset about but his line is firing well now and is playing solid defensively. Still think he resigns at a nice price mainly because I don't trust Damian Cox at all..
