Simple any of the names mention is not putting up much better numbers than he is. Since he has not seen a decline in ice time he is clearly not in the dog house hence they not looking to trade him. Also why trade a player entering their prime who also is an RFA for guy who won't get any better and is going to be a UFA.

I really don't think it would... What's better, Nash + Yakupov/Grigorenko or first round (5-10), subban, gionta and a second?

Say you break it down...

- Nash for Gionta and Subban - pretty crap return for nash. They have no need for gionta at all and he'd be harder to flip on draft day than the deadline. Subbans a nice pickup but not worth it.

- Downgrade their first (potentially 1st overall) for a second round pick? I really doubt it.

I think they would rather hang on to nash, draft yakupov/greg and then potentially trade nash later for a better return or see whether him and whoever they draft could tear it up.

Chris Stewart has been the name mentioned in trade talks as of late with the Blues.

If he's available, why not create a package for him giving them a decent top-six forward.

Considering you're referring to Sharxfans post, maybe you should go back and read what every other leafs fan on the site said about those proposals… Just because one guy suggests it, doesn't mean we all believe it.. Notorious' proposal below is pretty awful, but we're not flaming you for it.
