Hayley Wickenheiser, the first female to earn a point in a men’s league hockey game, has earned a contract for the rest of the year with Kirkkonummi Salamat, a tier-two team in Finland.

The Perfect Player

Rather than bore people to death with a biography on Darcy Tucker, or stating obvious facts that can’t be argued, I wanted to post an article that could involve everyone’s opinion in a fun way. This article will simply revolve around building the “perfect player”. Everyone has their own opinion on this and can state so without ridiculous argument, so to start it off, here is my version of the perfect player.

Roy To Retire?

TSN’s Bob McKenzie states in a recent article appearing on TSN.CA “Don’t be surprised if this is Patrick Roy’s last season in the NHL.” McKenzie in no way states that this definatly will be Roy’s last season, but says that “those who know the Colorado Avalanche stopper have been getting the impression all season that he may be close to calling it a day on arguably the greatest goaltending career in NHL history.” Roy is playing in his 19th season in the NHL, tending Goal for the Canadiens and Avalanche, helping both to pairs of Stanley Cup Championships, while amassing a vast collection of NHL trophys and records allong with a respect that is unparalleled at his position.
