Leaf Fan Plans to Protest
According to The Fan590, and Sports Reporter Ken Campbell, Leaf fan Joey Hatfield is planning a protest outside of the ACC, on the west side of York Street on Bremner Blvd. The protest will take place Wednesday, 4pm.
Thrashers Prospect Camp
Thrashers prospect camp opens up today and will run through July 19. This gives management and coaches one of their first real looks at many of Atlanta’s youngsters trying to come up through the system. Not too much else happening in my little corner of the league, so this is the best I could do for now.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CP) – The NHL and its 30 general managers emerged from a three and half hour meeting Friday agreeing that something must be done to control the increasing size of goalie equipment in an effort to open up the game.

Leclair could be the key to a Cup for the Rangers.
The rangers have got a ton of talent, but they don’t have a true first or second line left winger. I realize that these guys are professionals and expected to adapt but it is a simple fact that guys feel natural at different spots, and the Rangers don’t have any left wingers.
