Ken, Mike, and Sergei: A Fable

Sergei often thought about the open road. “Oh, the things I could do out there. Boy, howdy. What I could do out there. I’m stuck in Motown. I could be living it up in the sun.”

Mad Mike at it…again

CuJo for Yashin? Couldn’t be. Or could it?

Thrashers Prospect Camp

Thrashers prospect camp opens up today and will run through July 19. This gives management and coaches one of their first real looks at many of Atlanta’s youngsters trying to come up through the system. Not too much else happening in my little corner of the league, so this is the best I could do for now.

What will Wings do?

Well lots of action already this summer with the Wings but, what will they do? Well yesterday on Fox Sports Detroit TV their rumors were floating around about the whole team:

Well, At Leat All Russians Aren't Money Grubbing…

This story is really only worthy of news for one reason: it proves that not all NHL players are greedy money grubbers, and some actually respect the organizations they play for. And, it gives me another opportunity to rave about Datsyuk.

You heard it here first…KINGS WILL WIN THE CUP NEXT YEAR!!

Thats right folks!! Ca`ll me crazy! Say “It’s waaaay to early to predict something like this! Tell me I don’t know anything about hockey! Really!?

Do the New York people know something that the Dallas people don’t about the Dallas Stars?

Bring Back the Winnipeg Jets

This is not in my words but written by Darren Ford of Winnipeg. You can find all of this information on his website at http://jetsowner.com

Mr. Ford is trying desparately to get an NHL team back in Winnipeg. Being from Winnipeg, I sincerely hope that he succeeds.

Leclair could be the key to a Cup for the Rangers.

The rangers have got a ton of talent, but they don’t have a true first or second line left winger. I realize that these guys are professionals and expected to adapt but it is a simple fact that guys feel natural at different spots, and the Rangers don’t have any left wingers.

Straka on the block?

The Penguins are trying to trade Martin Straka, reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Bowman Big Apple Bound???

Just when you thought Scotty Bowman was going to retire for good from the NHL, Rumblings in the Big Apple have Bowman returning behind the bench as the Rangers New Head Coach???
