According to TSN: The Anaheim Ducks have signed free agent center Travis Green to a one-year contract. No financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
I was watching OTR with Bob Probert today and it got me in the mood to see more of my favorite fighter of all time when i came across a video on youtube.com that i had never seen before of Yzerman fighting one of Buffalo’s enforcers.
Sergei Gonchar has told the pittsburgh tribune review that Malkin will remain in Russia this season.
He apparently has reasons to stay in Russia, which were not revealed by Gonchar.

The Ducks have announced the retirement of right wing Jonathan Hedstrom, who left the team during last season’s Stanley Cup playoffs because of family concerns in his native Sweden. Hedstrom collected 13 goals and 27 points in 79 regular-season games for the Ducks in 2005-06. He added one assist in three playoff games. Hedstrom had one year remaining on his contract at a salary-cap figure of $512,500, money that will not count against the Ducks’ salary cap this season.
According to HockeyBuzz, Manny Legace has signed a contract with the St. Louis Blues.

The Sabres rejected JP Dumont 2,9 millions contract that he won in arbitration. That means he is now an unrestricted free agent.
Should the HABS try to ink him ?

Sources say that the Kings are working hard to try and get JP Dumont, and possibly do a goalie swap and bring in Biron and move out Garon…
HockeyLeaks are claiming that the maple leafs are in talks with eric daze who missed the entire season last year due to back problems. If Daze does have a good year he will have a great year as a Maple Leaf
ESPN is reporting that Malkin’s agent JP Barry is denying that his client reworked his 3 year deal into 1 year. His agent told the AP in a telephone interview that Malkin wants to play in Pittsburgh this season.
Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli announced Monday that the Boston Bruins have signed defensemen Milan Jurcina and Nathan Dempsey along with left wing Pascal Pelletier to contracts.

The Pittsburgh Penguins website is reporting that Marc-Andre Fleury has signed with the team. Fleury signed a two-year contract, but financial terms were not disclosed on the website. The NHLPA website has yet to post what his salary for this year will be.
The NHLPA website is also reporting that Ryan Malone is under contract for this season for $1.3M.

According to rds.ca, Montreal Canadiens defenceman Francis Bouillon had his knee examined by a doctor after arriving in Vail, Colorado and had surgery on Wednesday. There is no official word on the extent of Boullion’s injury or how long he will be sidelined, but local reports say he could be out from four to six weeks. Bouillon made the trip to Vail after experiencing pain in his knee last week when he started skating.
