Blues have a Clue

For the first time in 25 years the St. Louis Blues will miss the playoffs. This impressive streak came to an end in what may be one of the franchises worst seasons to date.

GAME OVER

End of the first period for the Rangers and Flyers and I’m already writing this. Rangers lost today by what could be a score of 5-0 from the way it looks right now. (2-0) in the first, Flyers Lead.

Get used to seeing this type of Ranger hockey in the playoff’s because we just lost Home Ice.

It could all come down to Tuesday

I know there have been countless articles about playoff races and such, but after looking at the standings and schedules I found something very interesting.

Gaborik to Leave the Wild?

Sportsnet.ca is reporting that Marian Gaborik is thinking of leaving the Minnesota Wild. His contract is up at the end of this year and he will be a RFA.

If the Wild don’t give Gaborik what he wants during contract negotiations he may go to a new team.

Kings done with Avery

According to a TSN story, Sean Avery will not finish the season with the Kings, whether they make the playoffs or not.

No Credit for the Wings

Nobody is giving the Wings much credit for winning another Presidents trophy because of their weak division. As of Monday April 10 the Wings have dominated their Central division with a 23-2-4 record. That proves how good they are, i doubt half the league would do that against that division.

Aubin Re-Signed!

TSN.ca is reporting that the Toronto Maple Leafs
have re-signed goaltender Jean-Sebastien Aubin to a 1-year, one-way contract. A one-way contract means he cannot be sent down to the Marlies.

Primeau Practices with Flyers

“He wasn’t just skating. He was going full bore.

He wasn’t avoiding contact. He was hitting people.

Hopefully the backups are good…

Hopefully the Backups for the Preds are good, because Tomas Vokoun is out for the rest of the year with Thrombophlebitis.

Gr8 is Not Enough

The Washington Capitals are years away from competing for a playoff spot never mind the Stanley Cup. After pillaging their entire roster of almost all their veteran players the team turned to their best young players with an eye to the future. The result was yet another finish towards the bottom of the standings and a another top 5 pick in the draft.
