I refuse to write any “what my team needs” articles until I’m sure that there will actually be a 2004-05 season. Instead, I will make my case for the NHL adopting a larger ice surface, since it’s the only “change to the game” that makes any sense to me from every aspect you look at it – players, fans, and even the hated Triad – owners, league officials, and referees.
