Forsberg Set to Return***Update: Forsberg signs a 1-year deal with Avs***

TSN.ca is reporting that superstar forward Peter Forsberg is set to announce that he will be returning for next season. Many sources close to Forsberg have said he will return for at least one more season, unless there is no lockout.

This is a huge break for the Avs. Now if they can acquire another solid 2nd line player they will have 3 good scoring lines to go with a solid defensive core.

Jagr to Rangers in progress?

The Score reports that Jaromir Jagr could go to the Rangers fairly soon in a deal that would involve:

To the Rangers:

F Jaromit Jagr

To the Capitals

F Matthew Barnaby

F Jamie Lundmark

F Petr Nedved

This trade would be a death wish for NY. They would be dealing away there top Left Winger, Their Top rookie, and their top scorer last year.

The score reports that this deal has been agreed to. All that is left to determine is the financial aspect. This information was being discussed on The Score television station. It is not yet on the website.

However, Sportsnet.ca has posted ‘Not so fast’ on the Jagr deal claiming that the proposed deal above is false.
