Berard joins Isles
According to Newyorkislanders.com Isles have inked Berard to a one year deal. Good move for the Islanders for adding a veteran presence to their blueline.

It's great to see Bryan still playing. No doubt things could have been even better if not for a careless idiot named Hossa.
Good for him! I've always liked this guy. He's got a lot of heart to come back from an injury like he did. Good luck to him.

It's interesting to see his career come back full circle, after Milbury lost his mind and traded him for Felix Potvin about what…8 or 9 years ago now?
He'll never be a very good defensive defenseman. It's just not in him. But he can be valuable in a 3-4 role, as long as he doesn't have to be leaned on too much. He's still a great skater, and has a very good point shot. He can be absolutely electric when he has the puck and some room to operate.
It's a one year deal, so this won't hurt the Isles much if there is an injury issue.
They can both work the power play. The Isles power play defenseman are probably going to be Bergeron, Berard, Campoli and Sutton.
It's a 1 year, 725K deal, pretty good deal.
Hill and now Berard again? Connecticut must be a good market for steroids, but what Brian needs is stem cells to grow an eye.
I knew that Meyer would be claimed the minn i heard they put him on waivers. Hes a hard hitting D-man who i thought was gonna fit in more in 08-09 season Phx made a nice pick up. But it was smart move the Isles too bring back Berard it always gave me a bitter taste in my mouth when they delt him to the leafs. Its good too see him back. Now if they can correct the other Defence trades and bring back Chara,Redden,Mcabe, kasper and soo on we might be in buisness lol.

Berard manned up and took responsibility for what happened. That's a lot more than you can say for a lot of athletes out there.
Berard had a goal and didn't even play 9 minutes tonight. Not bad at all.
