Berard wants out of Columbus
Tsn.ca is reporting that the Blue Jackets are shopping Bryan Berard as he has now asked for a trade. Berard is set to become unrestricted this offseason and may be one of the cheapest pickups at this trade deadline. TSN.ca is suggesting that his asking price is a mid level draft choice … affordable if you ask me.
As defenseman do not normally come cheap at this time of year because adding depth is hard to do HTR expects that he will go quick. Spectors hockey is suggesting that Vancouver, New Jersey and Anaheim are all interested and we could not agree more. Our guess is that he goes to Vancouver as it is well known that the Canucks are looking for another solid defenseman.
