Bernier and Carle demoted
In a suprising move, San Jose Sharks GM Doug Wilson today annouced the demotion of forward Steve Bernier and defenceman Matt Carle.
What’s so suprising about this is that Bernier and Carle are considered two of the club’s most promising young players. They both came in late last season and were outstanding for the Sharks in last spring’s playoffs.
They both had strong starts to this season; Bernier with 25 points in 39 games (fourth on the team) and Carle leading all Sharks defensemen with 21 points.
This shocks me, i hope it’s to send a message with them coming back soon especially with the sharks having a slow schedule right now. They should bench Cheecho if anyone. Your thoughts welcome.
