Big name UFA’s on the market soon

As of today we are only eight days away from the opening of the NHL free agent frenzy. There is a ton of speculation about who may be going where and which teams are going to make the biggest moves. With the likes of Penarin, Bobrovski, Duchene, Jake Gardiner and move it will certainly be a day to keep an eye on.

In regard to Penarin, it has been heavily rumored that the New York Rangers will try to take a big run at him with a big money deal. Penarin, has been linked to the Big Apple because it has such a s large size Russian community and many Russians feel homesick when they come over the North America. Besides the Rangers, don’t count out the Blue Jackets from making a big offer in an effort to try to entice him to come back to the Jackets. He has made a big impact with their team and they do not want to have him walk away for nothing in return over dollars. Some times trying to call where players are set to end up is like playing the slots. Hey if you are into that then check out the virgin games sign up code here.

Gardiner, a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs has been linked to the Vancouver Canucks, who are eager to add an offensive defenseman to their roster. It will be a wait and see kind of game though and Tyler Myers is another top end defenseman who is slated to become a UFA on July the first. It could end up like a domino effect. If Tyler Myers leaves the Jets, they will have a big opening on their back end that they will have to fill.

It is looking like July the first will be another day of huge spending. The San Jose Sharks have already opened their vault for Erik Karlsson signing him to a mega deal. The Rangers have also signed Hayes to a big deal and the Buffalo Sabres have opened their wallet for Jeff Skinner. It is always interesting to hear General Managers talk about being cash strapped during the season and then paying though the nose on July first.
