Ya Stanstny would be good I think, and you have to wonder if Col. regrets not dealing him last year, his stock has to have dropped. Ruutu, IMO, is a must type player for us…..plus it may get you an inside track on resigning or if he even fits.

I'd imagine Toronto has three viable options to help the number one center or size issue.

Paul Stastny - Number 1 center fix

Tuomo Ruutu - Size issue

Olli Jokinen - Size Issue

I'd push for them in that order right now. Jokinen is an unneeded piece with so many centers on the team already. Ruutu would be a sweet option since he can switch in and out of center and wing and plays a big, hard, gritty game with a decently underrated offensive game.

Ideally we could get Stastny and Ruutu together but I think thats probably unlikely. I think the most likely option would be getting Ruutu. Being an UFA and cheaper than a signed guy, we could grab him and keep both Kadri and Colborne likely. Plus he has top line experience with Staal in Carolina so he could occasionally fill in with Kessel and Lupul if need be.

I'd love either Stastny or Ruutu at this point. Either one would be a huge addition to this team.

Nash would be all right, but Huselius is injured right now and not a fan of him anyway, he has some experience, but his best years may be behind him.

That is a very interesting rumour, but we would still need to be aquiring a centre….lol
