The Blackhawks have made a trade with Florida for Kris Versteeg
The Blackhawks acquired Kris Versteeg from the Florida Panthers, general manager Stan Bowman announced following Chicago’s 5-4 shootout win over the Phoenix Coyotes.
Along with Versteeg, the Blackhawks have also acquired Phillippe Lefebrve and will send Jimmy Hayes and Dylan Olsen to Florida. The Panthers will take on half of Versteeg’s remaining salary.
Versteeg, 27, was with the Blackhawks from 2007 to 2009, and has scored two goals and five assists this season.
