Blue Jackets after Phillips?

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun indicates that he believes that the Blue Jackets are very interested in Senators defenseman Chris Phillips.

It is not mentioned who would go the Senators from the Jackets and it is mentioned that Phillips does nave a no trade clause. As a result of the no trade clause Phillips would have to approve of any trade that may be worked out.

    Why would the sens even consider trading Phillips,I remember him being their best playoff defensemen most playoffs the sens have played in.
    Gerber needs to go for anything simply to have cap space,Spezza should be on the block(talented but misses heart and dedication) and would bring something good in return.

    If the Sens do move Phillips it would represent true desperation on Murray's part.  Also I'm not so sure Phillips is what Columbus needs, although he would likely flourish in Hitch*****'s system.
    I'd have to see the other end of the deal to decide if this would help or hinder the Sens, but my thinking right now is that Phillips doesn't waive, and the package for him would be of poor quality right now.
