    Here's an offer:

    St Louis:
    Guerin
    Brewer
    Legace

    for

    Buffalo:
    Biron
    Kalinin
    Novotny
Conditional Pick (If Marty doesn't resign)

Bad Trade Idea…Buffalo doesn't need anymore goal scorers, or a backup goalie.  Why bother trading Biron to get Legace.  That makes no sense.  Buffalo really needs to dump a little salary to resign both Drury, Briere, and Hecht, dump Kalinan because he might be one of the worst defensemen in the NHL and get a tough guy for the strech run who can win faceoffs, someone like a Kevyn Adams from Phoenix.  Adams is from Buffalo, won a Stanley Cup, can hit, and win faceoffs.

i was thinking guiern to buffalo . .. i'm not too sure for who but he would be going to a cup contender and a little extra help at center never hurt a team . . .especially to fill in for gaustad while he is hurt (severed tendon in the ankle) for the stretch drive into the playoffs . . .what do you think?

I've been calling for Kevyn Adams to be dealt to the Sabres since before the Gaustad injury. The Sabres don't have the cap space required to take on Guerin, Brewer, and Legace anyway. I wouldn't want a backup that makes as much as Legace when you're only moving Biron out. Brewer's been awful, not even an upgrade on Kalinin but he makes more money, at least Kalinin is on a 2 year deal. I don't want Guerin that badly, he'd never stay in Buffalo and we'd sell the possibility of winning multiple Cups for a chance at one this year.

I'll be surprised if the Blues are trading partners with the Sabres, Tkachuk and Guerin both make way too much for the Sabres to afford them.

    I think not.

St Louis is building for the future. They don't need Biron or oft-injured Kalinin. That trade is totally self serving to Buffalo, and addresses none of what St  Louis will be after- picks and prospects.

Albeit Novotny is only 23 he's a decent prospect at best. The Blues will get way more for those 3 in the open market than what you propose- a slight upgrade in goalie, an oft injured defenceman, and mid level prospect.
