Bolts interested in Boughner

The St. Petersberg Times reported this morning that the Bolts are looking at Avalanche defenseman Bob Boughner. Lightning coach John Tortorella is impressed with Rookie Timo Helbling but covets a more experienced blueliner. Boughner, in his tenth season, is apparently being shopped by Colorado. However, his $950,000 salary may be too high for Tampa to fit under the cap.

This is the first I have heard of Boughner being available. Boughner has played for six teams in ten years and always seems to be on the move. Tampa’s need for another d-man is well do*****ented. If Tampa is unable to take him, then I would assume that everyone who was waiting in line for Brendan Witt may consider him. Montreal could definately use an experienced physical stay-at-home dman.
