It’ll be hilarious if doesn’t perform (I am not saying he won’t, but anyway…)

7.5 million, deserved or not, that’s a lot of money.

btw, did Eklund get even one right with e* bs ?

    Leetch is a UFA

According to the official list at NHL.com (http://www.nhl.com/features/insider/freelist06.html) Leetch is a UFA.

So, no playoffs for the Bruins.

Strange the Fan 590 said Chara signed with LA, Bruins must have squeaked in a last minute offer. Chara obvoiously a player after the largest buck….no team should want this guy he has no heart.

  6. Marky2Fresh says:

I guess not lol I didn’t know Leetch was a UFA, I never hear anyone mention him so far.

    Oh boy…

Ottawa have fun dealing with him 6 times..

  9. Turnbull says:

Chara’s overrated,..not worth 7.5,…maybe 6-6.5. Good pick-up for the brunis though, was hoping he’d go to the west.

  10. LeafsLegacy says:

    dude… Fan 590 is bs

  11. LeafsLegacy says:

hahahahaha…. Chara won’t excel in Boston guarenteed..

That is a helluva lot of money and the B’s better hope to the baby Jesus that he can perform, but it might be a gamble worth taking. Not only did Boston strengthen its own D, but it took away a key component from a division rival. Ottawa is a lot less scary today than they were yesterday.

  13. flyerjim says:

Chara worth 5 yrs and 7.5mil per season, yet reigning Art Ross and Hart trophy winner Joey T wasn’t last year??

I’ll never figure out this franchise.

Well Big Brian McGratton, I guess you and Z are going to have a showdown

Boston just got a real player who is worthy of wearing the B – Spezza and Heatley may or may not light Z up, but if Briere and Drury could do it, they should be able too.

37.5 million Dollars is alot of money for 5 years of hockey, I betcha Z is really glad he sat out an entire season to prove his point about salary rights. He just got signed to more money then he ever thought possible – the players look so stupid for sitting out that year.
