There's no way that Ed Snider signs Burke's paychecks.

Esche is the man now, and Nittymaki is slated to be his backup. I have a strong feeling that people will look at Esche and Niitymaki and forget all about Maxime Ouellet.

Burke will be bought out, waived, or traded for peanuts. Possible destinations for him are: Phoenix (as you mention), the Rangers, Chicago, or Pittsburgh

I think all 6 players mentioned in the original post (Spezza, Svatos, Erat, Jackman, Bergeron and Dipietro) will ALL be overshadowed by 3 future superstars:

1. Nicholai Zherdev- will surpass Nash as the most important guy for the Blue Jackets.

2. Henrik Zetterberg- will dominate the West next season.

3. Kari Lehtonen- forget about Dipietro, when Kari gets his chance, the East is finished.

LOL. I still say Richter was one of the most underrated goalies when he was in his prime. But we’ll see how Esche turns out.

Totally disagree with you.

First off, White was out for a good chunk of the first half of the season... when Spezza was hot. Only when he came back, did Spezza's time decrease, and as usualy, playing time goes down, production goes down....

With Bonk gone! Spezza should see more consistent time and with Havlat (as much as I hate his punka$$ guts), Hossa, and Alffy, I see Spezza racking up 70.

Line ups change buddy, nothing is written in stone. Especially not the Leafs first line with our aging vets.

Samsanov will NEVER reach 100 points. He is always projected at 70-100 points with fantasy people, but come on... does anybody ever watch him play?

I admit he is highly skilled and talented, but when there is a good scoring chance, he thinks shoot way more than a good offensive player should. Goalies are just playing him to shoot instead of a pass. Though with players who have an amazing shot such Nassy, Kovalchuk, Kovalev (great snapshot), and Sakic, those guys don't need to worry about shooting all the time because they truly have a decent chance each time, I don't seem Samsanov comparing with those guys shot wise.

If Samsanov should play with Big T! You might see better chances created, but I see only 60 points.

And Zherdev reminds you of Madano? I only watched him play in the Olympics and he reminds me more of an offensive guys instead of a two way player.

Mike Komisarek is one of those steady blueliners. He has the defensive mentality and with that, he won’t put offense over defense. It depends what you think breakout means. If it means points, I think Komisarek is going to take a while, but defensively, he is already there.

Here is the sad part buddy, everybody did take the Pens as a joke and they still sucked last season.

Mario WAS their franchise, but they have some great prospects and some vets to help them develop faster. But last year? NOBODY took them seriously. BPanthers isn't a joke, the pens are, and most importantly, YOU ARE! for thinking that teams took the Pens as seriously as they took the Leafs.

The last quarter of the season, games with Toronto were intense since playoff teams knew they have to be prepared. With Pens? I highly doubt the concentration and intensity was there.
