Bruins Shopping Brad Stuart?
The Boston Herald reports that the B’s are shopping around defender Brad Stuart due to his impending UFA status.
Citing an unnamed “veteran player agent”, they also claim that the Isles are interested.Stuart of course, was one of the supposed big returns to the Thornton trade – funny how that worked out.
He’s only 26 though, hasn’t really developed into the top level blueliner some expected him to be but he is a solid top four guy, good for at least 20 mins a night.
I think plenty of teams will want this guy if he’s on the open market. I don’t think the Isles really are hurting on the blueline though. Maybe they can swing a trade and send him back to San Jose, where they do need some help on the blueline, in a package deal for Nabokov?
