Agree with you on both. I'm sure I'm guilty of using those types of arguments occasionally but I try to keep my logic solid and not let it slip because of bias or annoyance.

The internet can be incredibly stupid sometimes. It's frustrating lol.

I'm not saing he's available, only that I hope Burke targets him. Howson is a GM IMO that Burke could convince to it would be in his best interest to move Johansen. Howson will do anything he truly believes will get Columbus into the playoffs next year, it's an absolute must for the franchise.

I don't that's really too far off. I'd take Ryan over that package, unless Toronto drops to the top 8 pick.

I would completely agree with you there. If we were getting a big center back, I would include Colborne over Kadri in a heartbeat. It makes a difference what we get back in the deal as to what we give up. If we were getting a smaller high talent winger back in the deal, it would be closer. I like Kadri much more then Colborne, but it would be a harder decision because of already having Kessel and then adding another high talent small winger. It would be hard to imagine having 3 small wingers playing in the top six, so it might make more sense in that case to trade Kadri instead.

Also, as to your first statement, that's common espcially on this site. The two biggest tools of people with weak argumentative skills are the "slippery slope" argument and the ad hominem or appeal to authority depending on what side they are one. My biggest pet peeves are misusing statistical evidence and arguing using logical fallacies to back up your point, but it happens a lot, and it's something you see run rappant on the internet.

Im not sure how old everyone here is so this reference might not be the best. The "suck it" thing has struck a cord with me since the "celebrity jeopardy" skit on SNL when the dude said "suck it, Trebek." For some reason, the beat, the tone, the whatever just made me laugh so hard. So when I heard Hartnell say it, I roared. My buddies were like "seriously? That funny?"

Yeah that was funny as well. I didnt watch the whole game but if he was mic-ed the whole game, I can imagine what else he said.
