Cam Fowler expected to miss rest of regular season for Ducks

Cam Fowler has been outstanding for the Anaheim Ducks this season: 36 points in 67 games, leading the team with 23:54 of ice time per game with a integral spot on both the power play and the penalty kill.

But thanks to an MCL injury, it appears the Ducks will close out the regular season without him.

Eric Stephens of the OC Register reports that Fowler has a sprained MCL in left knee and is out three-to-five weeks, which likely means the rest of the campaign before the playoffs.

He missed the team’s last two games, including Tuesday night’s 3-2 loss to the Washington Capitals. Ben Lovejoy, who has skated with Fowler this season, played with rookie Hampus Lindholm.
