Campbell to ban fighting ?
Just read this on TsN but Colin Campbell seems to be considering banning fighting.

Personally i’ve always found fighting entertaining, and I would miss it if it were gone, However, I would still watch hockey as much as I always have. Having said that my passion for the game isn’t as strong as it was when I was a teenager. I still think the hockey of the 90’s was a lot more entertaining then the game today. I really believe that the nhl should look at Killing off some teams, I don’t really know which teams but I think it would benefit the league a lot to remove say 4 teams (2 from each conference). This in turn will weed out some of the so called “goons” in the game and would put more superstar/quality players on one team. The result? more skilled players in the leauge especially with the new rules and less goons which would hopefully lead to less fighting in general (if you feel that you don’t need to elminate it).
The nhl has done a lot of changes lately (good and bad) and I just hope that if they go through with the decision to eliminate fighting that it will better for the league.
