Can the Rangers Get Any Luckier?

Now it seems as if the Rucinsky and Lyashenko deal seems like it was a must do for the Rangers. Tonight, the Rangers are playing against the Boston Bruins and Radek Dvorak is injured with a torn MCL and/or ACL. He will have reconstructive knee surgery, much like Mike Richter and Tomas Kloucek had. It happened when Dvorak was crossing the blueline and stupidly and pretty useless, old veteran Gord Murphy stuck his hip out on Dvorak.

As of now, the Rangers are playing without 4 top key players in their line-up, and yet they are still outplaying the Boston Bruins in quality chances, shots, hits, and turnovers, and hit two posts. Martin Rucinsky played extremely well as of now with Nedved and Dvorak, now it will be just Rucinsky and Nedved (childhood friends). Lyashenko played a very solid defensive game, and had two quality scoring chances.

The Rangers might be forced to make a trade now. Rico Fata has played like a true NHL player as of now, winning face-offs and skating like a rocket. Mikael Samuelsson finally stepped up his game with Johansson. Sandy McCarthy is playing like he is a power forward, almost scoring twice.

The Rangers are down 2-0, making only two bad defensive plays which cost them two goals. Theo Fleury seriously looks out of it tonight, maybe he wants to leave NYC? Sure, I think the Rangers will be forced to make another type of deal. At least, the team is playing again like a real team.

Your team is down 2-0, third period. Your 4 key forwards are out of the line-up. You have 7 defensemen dressed. What would you do? I would move Leetch up as a winger, you?
