Canadian Provincial Tourney

Like the bored rich nerd I am, I took Guy Bertrand’s idea and ran with it.

I jotted down names of players from each Province and made up Teams that could play in not the World Championships, but a Cross Canada Tournement of Fun and Supremacy.

The following are the 25 man rosters that I have put together, at the time I saw fit, but keep in mind, I’m drinker…
Only 6 Provinces could ice teams, so the rest would have to figure their way in after the fact, some how.
So many players could be interchanged in so many circumstancses.

I found that only 6 provinces could ice teams of players born to the provinces, and in the end, the talent pool in the Maritimes would have to be drafted in, as they don’t have enough NHL players to form a team. So Crosby, Higgins, Murray, Chimera, Sim, Richards and so on have been left out and would have to be a part of some sort of draft…

Here they are, starting West to East in no particular order.

Now, so many of these spots are interchangeable, so use your imagination if you like.

Who would win, what are your predictions?

The East Coasters didn’t make the lineups as there just arent enough of them to go around, but there would have to be a way to include Richards, Crosby, Higgins, Ryder, etc…

If I left anyone out, shoot me. Lots of guys, not enough spots.

Talk amongst yourselves, Love to all.

Gretzkin.
