Canadiens looking for a top defenseman
The FourthPeriod.com is reporting that the Montreal Canadiens are stepping up their search for a defenseman. In their report it is noted that some of the players who the Habs may have interest in include Derek Morris, Kaberle and Pronger.
HTR feels that some of the names that are mentioned in this article would be interesting fits for the Habs. Pronger would look great in a Montreal jersey and it is possible that his blueline talents would not only stabilize the Canadiens blueline but would also greatly increase the Habs power play as well.
It is not indicated what the Habs would have to give up to land any of these players however HTR does not believe that the Habs are likely to land Kaberle from Toronto, the Canadiens rival.
