Canucks Shopping for Swedes
The Vancouver Province is reporting that GM Dave Nonis was recently in Sweden having good looks at both Fabian Brunnstrom and Peter Forsberg.
Markus Naslund states in the report that “Forsberg is definitely coming back” and it is highly speculated that he is looking for a pro rated contract in the area of 5 million per season plus a five million dollar contract for next season as well. The Canucks are in a cap situation where they could afford this contract and they also the space next season as well because they have many players on their roster who are set to become unrestricted that the closure of the season.
