Both trades are about equal really, difference is Andrei K is a UFA at the end of the year, McArthur is signed.

I'd rather have Tinordi over the pick that Burke might not even trade.

Desharnais could be a setup guy for Nash..

On the other hand - in the past the habs have never traded for a big player who can score 30-35 goals, they usually trade away big players who can score 50+ a season.

Let's just say that Jarred Tinordi is about equal to a 1st round pick in terms of value. And that Kostitsyn and MacArthur would be similar value as well, based on their offensive output, age and cap hits all being really similar.

Desharnais is 25. He's played 70 career NHL games and earned 35 points. He is what he is. He's not an equivalent of Cody Franson, in terms of value.

...On the Voracek and 1st deal for Carter that occured during the summer. So, I put a 1st with a top-six forward on the Leafs and a young defencemen in Franson (whose apparently worth a second and player) for Carter. i think its fair value.

I think the Leafs could have had Carter for Kulemin in the offseason. Or Richards for Kulemin. I think there was another leaf going the other way but I can't remember.

I like your reasoning, although Lehtonen will definitely beat him in save %. As it looks like a one-sided trade based on the stats right now, see if you can milk them for more.

Don't forget it only took a 1st and Voracek to get him out of Philly.

I based his value off that trade. A support player, a 1st rounder, and I added another young defencemen since they seem to have always lacked in that position and we have tons (whose apparently worth a second and a player???)

Teams could offer more, but most likely our 1st will be lower and I don't any other teams that are willing to surrender one of their cheaper top-six players.
