  2. sydeburnz says:

    $3.85 Million, $1.28 Cap Hit

  3. BLUE_AND_WHITE says:

thats an awesome 6 man core, for the next 2 years all locked up. i'm thinking it may not be a bad idea to keep Kubina and McCabe

  4. LEAFS877 says:

Just Peca, Battaglia, and maybe Green left to resign.

Peca should be top priority RFA for the leafs.

Im hearing that the deal is worth 4.5 Million per season. This includes….

    1 Million for playing
1.5 Million for extra medical staff
2 Million for gas on his trips back and forth the hospital

Seriously though, will this p u s s y ever play 50 games? In order to play defense, you need to take a hit. This guy wouldnt play a full season in the womens league.

Didnt he fall down and break his ankle while playing pool at Dooly's one time, in st johns?

Gotta love the Leafs and they're awesome youth/prospects. LOL and now the Marlies are a disaster

  6. BLUE_AND_WHITE says:

he'll play 60 games, score 10 goals all being the teams 5th defenseman… aint bad

  7. Have2BeLeaf says:

Man why are you such an idiot?
Why is Carlo a *****, if anything he's not a ***** because he takes the hits and if he gets injured he gets injured. He doesn't shy away from the physical play and actually he instigates physical play. I can show you numerous highlights off of Youtube that show Carlo making big hits. When you play a physical game, injuries come with the territory. It will be up to he and Matt Nichol to change his off season work out plan to maybe put a few extra pounds of muscle on in the right places so he can better absorb hits and not be as prone to injury.

He is not a bad player and will be a  top 3 defenceman within those 3 years, is he is not already.

I'd say that's a good deal in terms of quality/salary ratio!

  9. jody200411 says:

Ok let me rephrase my comment, before everyone gets all worked up,….

Carlo is not a good player, he's a GREAT player. I watched him play in St Johns and his presence was well known on the ice. That being said, the guy is injury proned and in my opinion, will never play over 50 games in one NHL season. This is too bad because without all the injuries that has/will slow down his development, he could have easily been a Top 10 D-Man in the entire NHL.

    That better?

  10. jody200411 says:

Thats a deal, and i'd even give you 10:1 odds. If he wins, I have to pay you $1000. If I win, you give me $100.

  11. Pony says:

Sweet deal, lets call Carlo then.

  12. LEAFS877 says:

lol quite the exaggeration Carlo isn't a ***** he just took an awkward hit and it got reaggravated.

He'll play 60+ games next year

  13. Have2BeLeaf says:

    Get bent troll!

  14. Jeff198 says:

The NHL team announced a US$3.85-million, three-year contract renewal with the 24-year-old blue-liner Thursday.

  15. jody200411 says:

Yeah give him a call. Just check in the phone book and call all the hospitals in Toronto.

  16. JuicemaN says:

So he's a p u s s y because he was born with a more fragile body? He plays harder than most players and gets a masive concussion and still comes back to play as hard as he can.   This guy could likely kick the crap out of you which would make you an ultra p u s s y.

I'm not trying to put you down but your post was completely ignorant.

  17. Pony says:

    lol not bad, not bad.

  18. Pony says:

    lol not bad, not bad.

  19. JuicemaN says:

Geee, thanks, we didn't already know that from reading this article.   But thanks for posting the already-known.

  20. BLUE_AND_WHITE says:

ok, well he played 48 this year, and has played 70 in years past in the minors and juniors. he'll be fine

  21. BLUE_AND_WHITE says:

i did, they're expecting you in about an hour, after carlo kicks your sorry ass

  22. Glucker says:

excelent signing, a bit lower then my prediction(4.5 over 3 years) which makes me happy:P.

he's a really physical player, with big cojones. ppl may say he's easily injured, but i don't think so…2 freak injuries does not an easily injured player make… he's basically a more complete, pre-lockout McCabe, without the salary.

this signing ofcourse means nothing, considering that other defensemen have been given 1-way contracts… we now have 8 or 9 on those… so some WILL be traded for sure, he may be one of them(god i hope not), but it is possible ppl, definately possible.

  23. Glucker says:

how are the marlies a disaster? they where badly injured just like the Leafs, + they lost players to call-ups… their team was probably missing more players then the Leafs for most of the season

  24. Glucker says:

    Green isn't coming back
Battaglia may leave to make room for Williams/Tlusty

  25. Glucker says:

    I said that =.=

  26. Glucker says:

actually no… its not in there, lol

  27. Glucker says:

hehehe, btw… Kane said on OTR that his favourite team is the Maple Leafs… imagine, when Kane and Ovechkin are both over-the-hill UFAs… we'll sign them, and wonder why they arent doing as well as they did 20 years ago when they said they wanted to be Leafs…. awesome

  28. Glucker says:

oh, and the 60 year old roberts will sign with us at that time too :P(he'll still be playing…in a robotic body)
