I'm not sure I agree. We don't have a pressing need for goal scoring, in fact we have it in spades. Carter isn't and never has been a top line center, meaning he doesn't fit our needs, and he doesn't use the size he has like we need from someone that size. I'd much prefer to use those assets on someone like Berglund or just keep them.

probably a deal Toronto should do and probably would make them much better but I wouldn't do it, and the funny thing is I bet Columbus would want a little more. Like a 3rd rounder or a prospect like D'Amigo.

I would love to get Jeff Carter but I don't think the price would be too steep because of his contract. If Burke goes after him I would offer:

Carter

To Clb:
Schenn and a 1st in 2012

That's it. I understand Carter has huge potential and Howson wants to get rid of him and his contract but can't be too picky.
