Could changes be coming?

The Leafs have called up Kronwall and Tlusty for the start of their road trip. Is this a sign that changes could be coming to the D. With Colaiacovo due back soon, Stralman now up and now Kronwall also called up, is this Maurice sending a message or are changes in the making? Harrison has also shown alot of grit with the Marlies, is he next? At forward Wellwood and Mark Bell are due back and with the call up of Tlusty, I would say that 2 forwards are on their way out. Again is this just Maurice sending a message or are changes coming up front as well? I would say that Ferguson and Maurice will do just about anything to save their jobs, so yes I expect changes to be made.

well you guys have to try something!and calling up the kids might help and if it doesn't and you get the same results try a minor trade if that doesn't work it's over for you guys early!!i say a minor trade because of the ntc's and the nmc's that some /most of your players have with there contracts!!and also i don't know if tlusty is the right call up!i mean your guys problem isn't scoring it defence and defending!!so calling up another offensive player is the wrong move imo!

outside this group, maurice has no guys playing well at forward. tlusty, gamache, and co are playing because Maurice wants a reason to take devereaux, Battaglia, Newbury, Pohl, Belak, out of the lineup.

dont be surprised to see Williams and Ling play a game or two as well.

Gamache should definatley be included in the group doing well.  He is one of the few leafs who actually puts an effort in every shift. Being a 3rd line player 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) thats pretty impressive so far.

With Stralman playing now, Calaiacovo's impending return, and Kronvall called up, things just might improve on defence.

But I still can't wrap my brain on how they're going to insert all of these players in the line-up.  More specifically, how they're going to ship out McCabe and Kubina to make space for these guys.  Both McCabe and Kubina are virtually untradeable with their high salary and/or no movement clause.  If they could just move either player somehow, things would be so much easier.

I agree with you Gamache has been impressive so far. As for Maurice trying to get Devereaux off the team, he's being moved to the second line with Antropov. I believe some changes are just around the corner for hopefully some defensive minded forwards and hopefully the signing of Markov.

What I'm hoping is that now that Berard is down due to injury, that McCabe will get a long from NYI. They are off to a good start so far and hopefully the brass is overconfident and make a pitch for McCabe. Fingers crossed.
