Maybe less. Morrow only has 2 goals and 4 assists this year, so he's not exactly killing it on offense. On the other hand, he's such a warrior and he changes the game with a huge hit and by shutting down top forwards on the opposing team. Kind of like Mike Peca back in the day. So I'm not sure, but I think the trade value would be in that vicinity.

Well, what cir*****stances would he be available under? Let's say, some kind of free fall from the Stars putting them out of the playoffs and in a seller's position close to the deadline.

I think you start with Kadri or Colborne, plus a first round pick, and maybe a decent depth forward that Dallas could use right now like Bozak, Lombardi, or Armstrong.

Oh absolutely those are huge additions, credibilty is a great thing to have. On a side note, lets say Morrow became avail. what do you think it would take to get him?

Yep, great organizational depth at all positions. I mean even having guy like Fletcher and Dudley kicking around the front office in secondary positions doesn't hurt. Scott Gordon as an assistant coach is huge. I believe he has the team playing a lot meaner.

Ya I have been a diehard fan for a long long time, this means I am old lol, just not old enough to have seen a cup. But to look at the team and have hope for now and the future is awesome. talented teams on ice and in office draw talented UFA's coaches etc.

Kadri - Colborne - Frattin

That would be a deadly AHL top line. And good point doorman, they could instantly come in as an NHL 3rd line and not be out of place. For once in Leaf Nation, the future is bright. We have some legit NHL talent playing in the minor league system. Joey Crabb is another example of that. We can call up a guy who is a beast power forward in the AHL, but will probably never be more than a solid, quality grinder in the NHL. But Crabb played really well, and physical for us down the stretch last year when we were on our tear. I remember being at a Leafs-Sabres game late in the year and Joey scored the game winner mid-way through the third.

Absolutely agree, if he can play big minutes in important situations especially with Colborne and Kadri, you may find the makings of an instantly insertable NHL line. The three of them finding chemestry together down there is good for everyone.

Joey Crabb is absolutely killing the AHL with 15 points in 9 games. He has earned a callup. If that type of performance doesn't warrant a callup then what the hell do you have to do??

Matt Frattin on the flip side has played well, but is snake bitten. He's got 1 assist and a -1 rating through 11 games. So he's played well, but let him get more than 12 mins a night and find a scoring touch down on a line with Colborne.

I see nothing wrong with this move. Also Joey Crabb is perfectly suited for that 3rd line. He's a big physical guy who drives the net, and he'll gel well with Bozak and Lombardi, I believe.

Damn…. Ya Morrow is killing it, and a major reason why Dallas is so dominant right now in the West. I was hoping they'd be struggling by mid-November and we'd see those Morrow to Toronto rumours ramp up. But the way things are going, I just don't think its a possibility.

Ya but now that he is down, I bet he stays there for a better part of the year. I would prefer it that way, like I said Eakins is a better coach IMO. Long term it is better for frattin to stay there all year. I wouldn't mind seeing Gardiner go down for a bit, pending on how his minutes go.
