Coyotes Re-sign Tellqvist

TSN.ca reports that the Phoenix Coyotes have resigned Goaltender Mikeal Tellqvist to a two year deal.
As per club policy, the Coyotes have not disclosed the terms of the deal, however sources report that the deal will pay Tellqvist $800,000 per season. I think this is a great deal for Phoenix, paying under $1 million per season for a + .500 goaltender (9-7-2, 3.29 GGA) is a deal, especially considering CuJo’s age and tendancy to get injured. Tellqvist’s signing comes among a flurry of action in the desert, including the trade of Ladislav Nagy and the re-signing of forwards Shane Doan and Mike Zigomanis. Phoenix will most likely not be done before the deadline as veterans Owen Nolan, Nick Boynton and Derrik Morris are rumored to be on the way out.

Not a bad move at all for the Coyotes……..

No, not a bad move at all. Now where does that leave Cujo though. Will he possibly be one of the ones dealt at the deadline?

hopefully to the pens… im sorry but thibault the terrible needs to go

You are right J.T. is NOT the back up goaltender the Pens need. They need someone they can count on to back up M.F.

I would not mind at all if Shero picked up Cujo. However Cujo is getting up there in years if I am not mistaken, but could be an added plus hopefully for the Pens post season at least for this year anyway.

Cujo would be an improvement for Tampa, if they can move Denis to somebody.

Although it is not widely known, CuJo is very happy in Phoenix, especially playing with former Leaf teammate Tellqvist. If CuJo moves, it will be to a sure fire cup contender and it will be a rental.
