Darren Dreger – Coyotes wanted Kadri for Turris

The Leafs were never really in on Kyle Turris. Word is, Coyotes wanted Nazem Kadri as part of return. Toronto has high hopes for Kadri.

Nice "Savardian spin-o-rama" move by Gardner. Shades of Bobby Orr.

I don't know why Wilson kept on putting the fourth line vs. Tavares. I know they played well against him once, but thats a risk that should've been avoided?

Besides that, decent effor, but I think Kulemin and Grabovski's inconsistency in playing well then their disappearing act is starting to get annoying.

Hey leafy, I told you its not only NHL with this issue:

As a former football player, head-to-head contact was basically a way to get an advantage over the opposing player. And those helmets are like weapons on your head in itself.

  4. mapleleafsfan says:

They looked alright aside from that last goal.. I definitely like the fourth line much more like this than with dupuis though… They actually keep energy going and create chances. Some defensive breakdowns tonight but overall the leafs have looked solid the past 2 games. Reimer worried me tonight. So many rebounds and his glove looks like he's carrying bricks in it.

  5. TheLeafNation91 says:

Well, don't forget he's in a back-to-back situation and also in his last two games I believe he has faced 40 shots each night.

Can really fault him…Must of been exhausted.

Holy crap!! Boston wins another one, this time 8-0 over Florida.

After a slow start, the Bruins now look like the 85 Oilers, 81 Islanders and 77 Habs.

  7. TheLeafNation91 says:

    And Serguin got two points.

    YAY to my fantasy team.

Except I'm now fearing Luongo since Vancouver cannot get anything going and they're killing him right now.

  8. senators_choke says:

Sure, that's no surprise. Football can get pretty rough.

  9. TheLeafNation91 says:

Well, I played on the lines and I don't want to say encouraged, but I remember they said headbutts during contact could get you an advantage on the other player since they would naturally jerk back.

I would not be surprised if they learn a lot from players brains when they die.

  10. senators_choke says:

So if the playoffs started today, the Leafs would get Florida in the first round.

I would like the Leafs chances in that series. Also wouldn't mind getting New York.

Getting Philly and Pittsburgh would be bad for the Leafs. Boston would be a death sentence.

For the love of God, I never want to see Jonathan Quick ever again.

Ruined my week. He first ruined the lives of my Leafs…Then the guy I was facing this week on fantasy had him as one of his goalies.

Best part…My goalies put up a great GAA of. 2.05 and SV% of .934 this week…But Quick led his tandem (including Neuvrith) by putting up a combined 1.72 GAA and a SV% of .935.

Annoyed…I need an OT winner by SJ…But it looks like a SO. Crap.

What did you have for lunch today? …. and then what happened?

  13. mojo19 says:

haha, seriously though, this is HTR not your diary.

    It's my hockey ventilation place.

I thought it was almost as ugly as Nashville's jerseys

  16. NonLeafFansAreGay says:

Why don't the leafs bring up Zigomanis?

He's leading the Marlies in scoring, he's good at faceoffs, and the PK was better when he was here.

That isn't a personal attack. Come on. And the reading comprehension is a joke based around an observation. THick skin man.

My point was that being critical is fine to a point. You can lambast a player for one defensive mistake and call him defensively crap for that one mistake. Players make mistakes all the time. Especially when they are 21. Being overly critical is just as bad as being under critical.
  18. reinjosh says:

Neuvirth is pissing the crap out of me. I play him and he's crap. I bench him and he's great. He's so enigmatic its not funny.

Just the way fantasy hockey goes sometimes. You get screwed.
  19. reinjosh says:

I did answer you. I said he's played it at the AHL level (and usually when a team is developing a player for a position, they have him play it at the AHL level, it being a development league and all). And he's been pretty damn successful at it at that level. I also mentioned many, many times that he's seen NHL games at the center ice. Just because he isn't right now doesn't mean he can't play that position. Depth and all prevents that. I mentioned that having a winger who can also play center is a good thing to have.

I'll admit I got a little attacking with you. It happens, I apologize. But I do want to point out it started with you. Its a two way street. We both got out of hand.
And me disagreeing with your opinion isn't wrong. That's what this site is for. People give opinions, people disagree with them.
And I definitely admit when I'm wrong. I did the other day with Kaberle. So again, stop playing the perfect angel. It gets annoying and old. We're all grown ups here. Grow some skin and realize its a website. I don't know you, my comments are meant as antagonistic jokes, not meant to tear you down. Occasionally I might cross the line and I do apologize for that. But come on, I'm not calling you a murderer. I was making a joke about your reading comprehension. Hardly the worst thing in the world. Its a website. Its friendly shit talk man.
  20. TheLeafNation91 says:

I agree. I dropped Reimer for Emery this week.

Apparently Reimer decided to have a great week this week.

  21. JoelLeafs says:

You're right, all I do is troll. I never post cogent responses or write well though out articles. All I do is attack people. Thank you for showing me the light. I'm sorry that you're the only non-crazy person on this site, and that everyone is against you. It truly is a conspiracy. When you use the same tired arguments over and over and over, to the point that people stop responding, it truly shows how bright you are. We are all in your debt.

Seeing as you're the second coming: happy Christmas.

  22. JoelLeafs says:

    Try to smile today.

  23. JoelLeafs says:

Sup Josh? I hope your Christmas is going well. Mine is. Back in the GTA for the holidays and my friends and family have kept me steadily drunk for about a week and change now. Have any new years plans?

Yo, LN91: Chill, we're all friends here. You do play victim a bit much, but it's all good. Happy holidays!

  24. JoelLeafs says:

I dunno, the numbers on the front kinda bugged me. Although their normal jerseys are pretty *****ing ugly.

  25. Steven_Leafs says:

you're a smelly head! SMELLY HEAD!!!

  26. Steven_Leafs says:

to be fair, this one wasn't a personal attack. Unlike my comment above! MUHAHAHAHAHA! lol. sorry I got into the eggnog early.

  27. LeafsFTW17 says:

    Don Cherry, is that you?

  28. mojo19 says:

Besides, the main point here is that Kadri has a ton of skill, and for the most part skill can't be taught, position can. Case and point: Steve Yzerman.
