Draft Day morning

Wow, what a fantastic couple of days that we have had in the hockey world and it seems like the best may still be ready to come. The selections by the Golden Knights seemed to start a flurry of rumors and trades, so far the biggest such deal has been the Oilers sending Jordan Eberle to the New York Islanders for Ryan Strome. On paper this deal looks like the Islanders got the better of this trade, however, the Oilers look like they will be able to get a guy who will be able to put up some bigger numbers with the Oilers and they have also freed up a bunch of cap space to be able to make room on their team for Kris Russell. It is expected that Russell will sign a 4 year 16 million dollar deal later on today which is not too bad for a guy who is a quality defender.

There is also some talk about the Vancouver Canucks. It is rumored that they may be willing to move down several spots and still get the player who they covet. It is highly speculated that they are interested in Cody Glass, who seems like a character player who is able to play well at both ends of the ice.

As far as trades go, it is just in that the Blackhawks have traded Artemi Panarin to the Blue Jackets for Brendon Saad. Panarin has put up great numbers with the Black Hawks since joining them two seasons ago.

Another deal that looks like it could take place is a possible deal between the Montreal Canadiens and the New Jersey Devils. It is speculated that the Devils are greatly interested in Galchenyuk who was demoted down to third line status during the playoffs for the Habs. It is likely that the Canadiens would want another skilled forward back in return.

In other news, the Vegas Golden Knights team is starting to take shape. In regards to the Vegas team the Vegas Palms online casino would most likely say that they have way better odds to make the playoffs in their first year then the Ottawa Senators did in their first year. They are very lucky to have been able to select key players like Fleury.
