Ducks to shop both Neidermayer and Pronger?

The ocregister is reporting the Duck general Manger Bob Murray “may have to make some drastic moves if the team does not improve quickly.” The two big names that are mentioned are Scott Neidermayer and Chris Pronger.

It is noted that the Ducks have only won 5 of 16 games heading into the all star break and that the team has only won back to back games twice since the beginning of December.

Rather than seek draft picks it is rumored that the Ducks would like to pick up young roster players that are highly touted prospects (established players) for either one of the two former Norris winners.

HTR notes that many teams would covet Neidermayer and Pronger. One team that may show a little more interest in Neidermayer than most is the Vancouver Canucks would love to bring Neidermayer back to BC before he retires. It was rumored several years ago that he was very interested in joining the Canucks when he signed with the Ducks, what held up that signing was the Canucks then signing former team Captain Markus to a new three year deal.

Wow. Drastic changes after winning the cup only a few years ago. I wonder who was The GM for the last few years who screwed up their team building?

I just want to say I really dislike Burke.

Iam thinking the Canucks are still in for one more big trade and still have 4 million to play with so yeah the Niedermayer brothers would look nice in a Canucks uniform and Iam sure they would both want to end there careers in there home town. So Iam thinking if the Canucks dont pick up Bauwmeester this will probably be there 2nd option.

    To Canucks-Niedermayer brothers
    To Ducks-Kesler,Salo,and 2nd round pick

I really missed your trade proposals.

Screwed up? Those pieces won the Cup, not to mention will/would fetch a huge return.

The Anaheim franchise should relocate be a place where they have ducks.  South Dakota is perfect. They got a very big duck population on the Missouri river.

If Burke can do the same thing he did in Anaheim in Toronto and happens to leave a bit of a mess behind, I am more than alright with that.

I just want to win a cup with an interesting team that is fun to watch. Is that so much to ask? That shellacking yesterday was just horrendous. Poor Pogge looked like he was about to cry.

It was pretty smart to recognize that Scott probably won't want to play for a team without his brother. They would definitely want to play closer to home, but I can even see them going to NJ. The Devs have some trade history with the Ducks, Scott knows the organization and is the defenseman the devils are looking for. For the Ducks, the Devils have never hesitated in giving up their first round pick and have a few prospects that the Ducks might want like Matt Halischuk. Plus, the Devs would give up a great penalty killer in Pandolfo, and the Ducks PK has been average at best.

I dont think the Devils have enough cap or do they???Plus the Canucks have alot more they can give the Ducks then the Devils can.

Burke was only there a year before they won the cup. Most of the pieces of the cup winning team were already there, much the same way when he took over in Vancouver.
