Dunham an Islander?

According to Bangor Daily News: Larry Mahoney reports NY Islanders GM Garth Snow is considering UFA Mike Dunham as his potential replacement as the club’s backup goalie. They were teammates on the University of Maine Black Bears in the early 1990s.

    already hiring old friend ? ouch…. i wouldn t want to be an islander fan right now…

    The next couple of years are going to be atrocious. I sympethize, really, because we went thru a similar period in Montreal (infamous Rejean Houle’s era) that sent us spiralling down and we are not thru patching up the bad decisions yet.

    Better polish up the patience islander fans, it s going to be hard times ahead….

    Dunham hasn’t had the best seasons of late. But I think he can rebound; he’s a pretty good goalie, imo.

    Just out of curiosity, has anyone read the open letter from Garth Snow on the Islanders web site? He said there he wouldn’t stand for anyone taking cheap shots at the franchise or the Islanders “guys” (I assume he means players here) on or off the ice. His letter almost sounds threatening!
