Emery Suspended for 3 Games!
According to TSN, Ray Emery’s slash on Maxim Lapierre was reviewed by the NHL and they decided to suspend Emery for three games.

In my opinion, well deserved.
This guy is always slashing someone. He needs a serious attitude adjustment.

HAHAHA good one, I remember when Sundin made all those great moves last year and won them a bunch of games getting them into the playoffs, and ending a 40 year streak of no Stanley cups…..ohhhhhh wait that’s right LEAFS missed the playoffs!!!! It's too bad Sundin is wasting his career in such a bad team, that doesn’t seem to realize that getting old, overrated players is stupid. Argue anything you want about the Senators (In the playoffs can’t get it done) I've heard it all, bottom line Sens have 30 years or more to be as bad as the Leafs until then shut your mouth leafs fans, your team is filled up with AHL Want to be NHLers. Oh and good signing with Hall Gill or is it a Pylon sometimes I forget , and don’t worry Red-Light Raycroft will start playing like the goalie he is soon enough. I hate the Sens, and in particular Emery, but that hit wasn't as horrible as it's being made out to be. Emery's problem is that he doesn't have superstar status…yet. Had it been Heatley (as in the two handed slash on Bell in the preseason) Emery would have been commended for his great play. Guess you need to score some pretty goals (Like Ovechkin) to be able to get away with the cheap hits.
I didn't realize that Sundin was on the the Leafs 30 years ago and the Stanley cup drought was all his fault. Wow, I feel so enlightened.
You Sens fans are as bitter about losing to the leafs EVERY playoffs as the Leafs are about getting eaten alive in the regular season by the Sens..well, not necessarily this year though. I look forward to seeing the Sens lose in the playoffs for the next 30 years. Then we'll see how loyal Sens fans are.
Emery does not deserve the suspension you no minded leaf fan, sorry but you are. He should have punched the snot out of the guy, that would have been better than a little tap on the visor, like look at the replay, not even a mark on the visor, I know for a fact that if you even sneeze on those visors they mark, his was fine and he was laughing on the bench about it.
Hope your precious leafs keep their heads up when we roll back into town, I for one will be looking forward to Emery knocking out someones teeth, hahaha, the leafs suck soooo bad, and it's a shame that with a population the size of toronto that they can't find some AAA players to fill in those empty spots on the roster being held by players like McCabe, Sundin, and Roloson, …Tucker is your entire franchise…deal with that. Sad how a bunch of AHL players were skating circles around the Sens last game. If it wasn't for the butcher the Sens would have lost by a lot more.

You're an idiot. If he didn't have that visor on, his face would have been cut up. So what if he crashed the net, it looked like he tripped, no *****ing reason to intentionally attempt to seriously hurt someone. This is the NHL, not some seedy sports league. You should be very thankful that Lapierre had a visor on, orelse Emery would have been gone for the full season.

buddy–emery had NO business venturing out of his crease on the first goal with the trapezoid rule ineffect…johnson was able to get to the puck at the sam time and beat him for it. it wasn't a trip. goalies are going to get touched when they venture out of the crease. and maybe if anyone on the sens other than chris neil had any stones, they wouldve stopped the habs from crashing. i understand emery being frustrated, but what he did was stupid. he tried to hurt lapierre using his stick. good on him, im sure all you sens fans are marveling at how tough he is. the sad truth is that to do something like that, you have to be stupid.
