Flames’ Feaster makes no secret of desire to trade up in draft
Jay Feaster taped an interview with TSN, and the Calgary Flames GM couldn’t conceal a grin when asked if it was true he’d offered his hat-trick of first-round picks in Sunday’s NHL Draft to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for the No. 1 selection.
“Yeah, as a matter of fact,” Feaster replied Tuesday. “I’ve had conversations, not just with Colorado. I’ve had conversations with teams ahead of us, not necessarily offering the same thing in every instance. But certainly, we’ve made not secret about the fact we would like to move up in the draft if we can.”
